The house is there! ;-)

Hi everyone who occasionally goes onto this page to check what´s happening with the Fischer family... there´s been lots!

First of all, we did eventually get the house on July 17th and have been madly busy ever since... but we are getting somewhere, as you can see on the pic below.

 In the last few weeks we installed the electrics, the pipes for the heating system, the windows as well as the roof and, finally, have been putting the isolation into the house so the paved flooring can get started at the end of next week!   

 Here´s my brother helping the roofers to unload their trucks...

 Above you can see the way the company did the window sills and sides .... we think it´s really beautiful...

 Thanks to my sister and perfect chef Doris and her ever so helpful "handyman" husband Dominik (below on the left, right behind me, talking to his daughter Lilly), we could stay in Kleinzell most of the time and, therefore, have avoided to put too much stress on our kids... Pauli and Magdalena have made so many steps forward, it´s incredible... 

 Here´s my father in law, who helped with bro-i-l  Lukas and sis-i-l Karin to tidy up the house before the final steps, the isolation and paving... then there will be a break of around 6-7 weeks, but that´s good, as school is starting...

 Below there´s Paul on his training bike - he started last Monday and, if you want to take it away from him, he starts crying and is really desperate...!

 And here´s lovely Rita with Magdalena, who is perfectly fed and happy constantly, all smiles and ... she can sit and is starting to crawl - dangerous times on the couch ahead!

Thanks to so many people we are on schedule with the preparation of the next important steps - moving into the house... right now it seems we can make it by December, just as planned... yeah!

Ready to go...! The house is coming! A Fischer family update

Hi guys,

sorry I have been absent again for such a long time, but there have been so many things happening in our lives that it´s just been to much to actually go online and put something on the blog... but, a couple of days before our house is actually becoming a physical reality I want to give you a short update:

1) Magdalena and Paul are doing very well... both of them are growing quickly, Paul has become a "boy", actually, can express himself quite clearly and accurately and is a real laugh. He loves his sister very much, Magdalena is near enough 5!!! months old already, a real charm and all smiles most of the time. She sometimes gives us a hard time when she´s tired and doen´t want to go to sleep... only her mum knows how to deal with these situations, daddy is completely useless. Makes it difficult in the evenings sometimes.

2) Building our house has taken up so much time, it really is unbelievable - but it is mind-bogglingly rewarding to be a part of the team that creates such an important feature of a family´s life... It puts a lot of stress on Rita and me to organise both parental and house duties so that we still find time to do things together like going to the zoo or ... well, we aren´t doing much right now, to be honest, except for either going to Kleinzell and work there or staying at home in Linz and relaxing for a few hours...
On Tuesday, the main part of our house is due and then it will be chaos... I have organised all the companies to do their work throughout the next month or so, so it´ll be madness. So much looking forward to it! We all are! Here are some pics of the first part of the building process, which started in April:

3) Finally, a couple of weeks ago, there was Magdalena´s first BIG DAY - she was baptised on July 1; she was such a brave little girl and managed to get through the whole service without any crying at all... Pauli was different, though, as he asked after something like 5 minutes, when it´d be over... ;-)
Sandra, Rita´s cousin, is Maxi´s god mother and everyone there had a really good time. Here some pics:

Then there was a wedding as well, wasn´t there?

Just about 3 weeks before Magdalena was born, Rita and I got married... many of you know this anyways, as I hit facebook with a pic of me and Rita at the restaurant after the ceremony (she was NOT happy about that). It was February 4th 2012, the coldest day in Linz, but beautiful nonetheless... and here are some pictures of it. Thanks Edgar, for taking them, by the way.

A star is born!

Hi everyone!
The picture below shows the latest addition to the Fischer home...
our daughter Magdalena was born yesterday, on Monday, 20.02.2012, at 6.27 pm in Linz.
She weighed 3760 gramms, was 49cm small and took only a little while to let go of her cosy home in Rita.
She´s a great eater already and knows perfectly well she has got a loving mum with mutual interests... so they´re a great team by now!

Below you can see Magdalena´s proud parents holding her gently. How unexpected was she on a scale of 1-10, one might ask? Well, to tell you the truth, we only started considering a girl´s name a couple of weeks ago - just in case, if you know what I mean, as we were so sure it was going to be a second boy that we did never ever imagine it could really be a girl - how wrong were we?

She´s very much like her older brother Paul - she likes resting on her mum´s belly and spends most of the time chilling there!

Waiting to be unloaded...

As most of you might know, Rita and I are going to be parents a second time pretty soon... the due date is in around a week, and we are really counting the seconds... how exciting a time, Paul never wants to go to bed, it seems as if he knew that the time when he was the only special person in our lives will be over soon.
Apart from that, the only other news there is ... is probably quite big news!
Rita and I got married a week ago! We had our weeding ceremony at the "Standesamt" in Linz, the magistrate, so we only did the official one - don´t be afraid, there will be a church wedding at one point, too, and hopefully you can all make it there.
Ok, gotta run and keep an eye on Paul and my WIFE! How cool´s that?
